Joved motions 2010 UI

Dear fellow Indonesian debaters,

As today is 22nd June 2010, exactly a month before JOVED 2010, we are launching the prepared motions for the championship.
There will be 10 rounds in JOVED 2010; we are launching 5 Headings out of them.

Here are the prepared motions of JOVED 2010:

GENDER EQUALITY

1. THBT female condom with “teeth” to prevent rape brings more harm than good to women empowerment

2. THBT feminist movement in 1st world countries has betrayed their sisters in the 3rd world

3. THW acknowledge the third gender category in national ID card


GEOPOLITICS

1. THW partition Kyrgyzstan

2. TH supports special tribunal in Kenya

3. In conflict areas, THW channel aid through NGOs rather than the recipient states’ governments ECONOMY

1. THBT China’s policy to increase Yuan’s flexibility is the way to go

2. THW stop removing trade barriers in ACFTA

3. TH regrets Euro

CULTURE & INDIGENOUS PEOPLE

1. THBT countries should have reserved seats in the parliament for indigenous people

2. THW protect traditional land from modern development

3. THW impose compulsory income-management policy for indigenous people


NATURAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT

1. THW put moratorium on deepwater oil drilling

2. THW not compel unwilling civilians to evacuate their homes upon an impending natural disasters

3. THW abolish the debts of disaster-stricken states
